About
The company you keep.
When you find a paint company who answers the phone, shows up when they say they will, and finishes the way they start, you keep their number. That’s what we do.
01
Who Shows Up
When you call, you get Jon.
Jon Hopkin answers the phone, walks your property, and writes your estimate himself. He’s been a painter since 1997, most of those years on commercial work where the schedule is the contract and the punch list is the reputation. He moved to Kona in 2023, joined Magic Brush, and learned the island side of the trade under Guy Nicholson, who founded the company in 2002, before taking it over.
What that history means for you is simple: the habits were built long before your job. The call gets returned. The start date holds. The lines come out clean.
02
The Crew On Your Property
Big enough for a dealership. Small enough that Jon still walks your job.
A crew of qualified craftsmen and skilled artisans, scaled to the size of the job, working from Captain Cook to Waimea. New construction for the island’s builders, maintenance painting for property managers, and the homes in between. Whoever is on your property wears the standard.

03
Why the search ends
Reliable Quality Service.
Ask the property managers and contractors who call year after year and they don’t talk about paint. They talk about not having to think about it.
“They know we’re gonna answer. They know we’re gonna be there when we say. They know we’re gonna do the job.”
Jon Hopkin, owner
And if something’s not right when you walk it, say so. We come back and fix it. The job is done when the job is done.

What It’s Like, In A Customer’s Words
“Completely professional, not the lowest cost you could find, but you definitely get a first-rate job. We heard about them from our friends, and have passed our recommendations off to others.”
Jim Lisy, Google review
